What are people saying about Man in the Mist?

I just recently obtained the book and want to let you know how insightful it was.  I could so identify with Raey and her struggle with loss.  In the last few years I have lost so many close family members, including my mother.  Sometimes the phone will ring and for a split second, think it is her calling.  Your book is a guiding light for all suffering loss.

Keep up the good work Cherie!  You are a master of words.

The Man in the Mist is about love, loss, grieving and healing. Raey, the main character, journeys to Scotland in her effort to find the peace and strength she needs to move forward after the devastating loss of her beloved husband. I found myself wondering what Raey and the other characters were up to whenever I had to walk away from the book for awhile—a sign that this story, which is kind of about two romances in one, definitely had my attention! Grab the book, sit back, and travel to Scotland for a wee bit. (P.S. I would love to sit in innkeeper Maisrie’s kitchen and have a conversation and a baked goodie or two!)

Man in The Mist held my attention from the beginning until the end. I loved the characters and their family relationships. I loved how I could envision the settings because your words painted pictures, so that I felt as if I were there! I’m glad you included Raey’s struggle with grief – it was very relatable. You could feel the loss, but also the love and hope. I look forward to your next novel!

This is a book about a story as old as time about love and loss. Learning to love again by opening your heart all set in Scotland, Isle of Skye. This is beautifully written in a fantastic setting. It has everything I love with a wee bit of magic. I highly recommend it.

You will easily become immersed into the mystical land that is painted so clearly, due to the clear, descriptive writing style, you will long to experience the setting in person! The depth and feeling of the inner struggle between grief and healing intertwined with the self discovery of strength pulls you in and will have you turning pages that you don’t want to end.

From beginning to end, these characters take hold of your heart. I didn’t know how much I needed to read this until I did!

Coorie up and allow your imagination to be carried away to the magic of Scotland. Cherie Roberson invites us on Raey’s emotional journey. In an effort to heal from the loss of her husband, Raey returns to the Isle of Skye in effort to move forward with starting a new chapter of her life. Through the beautifully written backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, we go on a trek right along with Raey. You will feel all of her emotion then cheer her on as she begins to heal, thanks to the man in the mist.

Once I started, I couldn’t put this book down (don’t start it on your lunch break like I did)!
Man in the Mist is a beautiful story of losing and finding love. Cherie didn’t hesitate to dive into hard emotions and express the painful and wonderful parts of being human, all while taking us on a tour of the Scottish countryside.

Your book was so good, I couldn’t put it down. But I wanted to put it down because I didn’t want it to end! Your way with words is unbelievable. It was a beautiful story with real life ups and downs. The plus was that I love Celtic stories and my mind reads with an accent! : ) Please keep writing and I will keep reading. Thank you for sharing your talent.
